Hello Cheryl!
My name is Andreza Galli, and I work at the Museum of the Person! Hope everything is fine with you!
Im writting you because we are organizing the 2nd International Day for Sharing Life Stories, that will happen on May 16th.
Last year we had around 100 activities at 30 contries! It was very nice for us to find out so many projects that also uses lifestories to produce change in society!
These projects were of so many kinds: stories circles, interviews, plays about someone lifestory, videos, publications, movies projection, discussions...
We'd love to have you as a partner for this year. You and your organization could organize some activity to celebrate the Day. If you want to have an idea of what was made last year you could take a look in the site ausculti.org
This year, although we still simply celebrates the power of lifestories, we have a theme: "Journey toward justice: imigrants and refugees", which is a very important issue nowadays.
In the file attached you can find more info about the International Day. It would be wonderful if you could send this invitation letter for all your network, and also organize an activity to celebrate it in The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.
What do you think?
Hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Andreza Galli
